Welcome to the Heart and Vascular Center
The Heart and Vascular Center is the community's first and only integrated center for patient care, education and translational research in cardiac and vascular diseases.
The Heart and Vascular Center will provide patients access to state-of-the-art facilities and nationally recognized cardiac and vascular specialists in a model that brings together multiple specialties that include cardiology, vascular medicine, vascular surgery, cardiac surgery, cardiac rehabilitation and several others.
The new center will serve as an outpatient center for patients with cardiac and vascular disorders, focusing on important areas of congestive heart failure, cardiac rhythm disorders, fainting disorders, complex surgical care, critical limb ischemia, peripheral arterial disease and venous disease.

New Hybrid OR. In an effort to improve the quality of patient care, on January 24, 2012, UTMC added 2 new Hybrid OR rooms, equipped with the latest technology. Local news were on hand for the ribbon cutting ceremony. |

Patients get life back, thanks to LVAD, UTMC team. Patients suffering from heart failure in northwest Ohio and southeast Michigan no longer need to make the journey to Ann Arbor, Columbus or Cleveland because The University of Toledo Medical Center has developed a program making the life-saving technology of mechanical, artificial hearts known as left ventricular assist devices (LVADs) available in the community.
