Cardiothoracic Surgery has a long and distinguished tradition at UT, and we are honored
by your trust in our care. We are committed to providing the highest quality of care
in an environment of personalized attention. Our team is dedicated to heart care and
has established a record in treating routine cardiac surgical problems while providing
state-of-the-art treatments such as minimally invasive surgery using robotic platforms
(daVinci Robotic System) and heart assist devices for patients with advanced, congestive
heart failure. Recognizing the complex nature of heart care, we are planning a dedicated
CARDIOVASCULAR CARE UNIT with specially-trained staff to provide expert care for our patients. The best care
includes a seamless, teamwork-oriented approach. The cardiac surgery team of physicians,
anesthesiologists, surgical assistants, nurses, physical therapists, dietitians, respiratory
therapists and pharmacists stands ready to help you through your journey.
