As family physicians, we care for people of all ages. We can diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, as well as offer preventive health screenings and lifestyle counseling.

- Chronic disease management for asthma, heart disease, emphysema and more
- Weight management and nutritional counseling
- Diabetes care, including insulin management
- Behavioral/mental-health care
- Gynecology care, including contraceptive implants
- Occupational therapy
- Laboratory services
- Sports medicine and physicals
- School physicals, including immunizations
- Pharmacist consultations, as well as medication management
- Orthopaedic medicine, including joint injections
- Dermatology and skin biopsies, including wart and mole removal
Our Family Medicine providers can manage a vast amount of health concerns. In cases where a more specialized approach is needed we can provide referrals for more specialized care.
Your care team
Our team-based approach allows our physicians, nurses and medical assistants to work as a team to become more familiar with and better address your health-care needs.
Rest assured that your personal relationship with your primary care physician will stay the same.
This location also hosts training for residents, medical students and other learners from The University of Toledo College of Medicine and Life Sciences.
Schedule an appointment
The University of Toledo Medical Center (UTMC) Family Medicine offers evening and weekend hours for your convenience. We are open:
- Monday – Thursday, from 7 a.m. – 7 p.m.
- Friday, from 7 a.m. - 5 p.m.
- Saturday, from 8 a.m. – noon.
Additionally, we provide same-day sick visits and accept walk-in patients.
Please note, we require a 24-hour notice if you wish to cancel your appointment. For more information about the cancellation policy, please speak with a staff member.

Care outside the office
If you require admittance to UTMC, one of our physicians will care for you during your hospital stay. If you receive treatment at a different hospital, we will make every effort to obtain your hospital records. We encourage our patients to schedule follow-up appointments with us within a week of hospital discharge.
We also provide home visits and nursing home care.
Prescription refills
Please bring your current medications to your appointment. Every attempt will be made to address medication refills at that time. Please contact your pharmacy for prescription refill requests outside of office visits.

Insurance plans accepted
UTMC Family Medicine accepts many insurance plans, including Medicare and Medicaid. However, we recommend that you confirm coverage before receiving medical services.
You may be responsible for a co-pay at your time of visit. We accept Visa, MasterCard, checks and cash. For questions regarding your bill, please contact Patient Financial Services at 419.383.7400.
