Visitor Information

Visitor Restrictions Effective June 7, 2021

We recognize that visitors help our patients heal, but during the COVID-19 pandemic we are temporarily modifying our visitation procedures to protect the safety of our patients, staff and community.

General Visitation Procedures

Visitation for non-COVID-19 patients is limited to two visitors per patient at one time, 16 years of age or older or who have special permission from the Nursing Director, in our inpatient areas. Hours of visitation are from 11 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Off-hour visitation is only available with special permission from the Nursing Director. Limit of one visitor per patient during off-hour visitation.

Up to four visitors (at the same time) are allowed at the bedside of hospice and end of life patients, without restrictions on time of day, as approved by staff. All visitors must wear a mask that covers their nose and mouth.

For COVID-19 positive or COVID-19 suspect patients, visitation is not currently permitted in our inpatient areas unless medically necessary for the care of the patient or in the following circumstances:

  • Patients may receive religious services from clergy of their choice, during visitation hours, if it can be provided without disruption of care.
  • During end-of-life care, up to two visitors are allowed at the patient’s bedside without restrictions on time of day, as approved by staff. Visitors must wear all PPE, including a mask that covers their nose and mouth, while in the patient room.
  • End of life religious services are also permitted.
  • Patients with disabilities may have two designated support persons or guardians stay with them during hospital visiting hours. One individual may remain overnight, if the hospital can accommodate them.

All visitors must enter through the main hospital lobby. They will be screened for illness, including a temperature check, will be required to wear a face covering that covers nose and mouth at all times, and must maintain six feet social distancing in all waiting rooms.

Emergency Department

Patients in our Emergency Department may be accompanied by one visitor, 16 years of age or order, who is wearing a mask that covers their nose and mouth. Two visitors are allowed if the patient is a minor.

All visitors to the Emergency Department will be required to remain at the patient’s bedside. No visitors will be allowed in the Emergency Department waiting area.

Clinic Visits

Patients at our clinics may be accompanied by one visitor, 16 years of age or order, wearing a mask that covers their nose and mouth.

All visitors will be required to remain with the patient. They will be screened for illness, including a temperature check, and will be required to wear a face covering at all times.

Procedures

Patients scheduled for an inpatient procedure may have one visitor/support person, 16 years of age or order, accompany them to their appointment and must remain in the designated waiting area until the patient returns to their room.  Visitors must wear a face covering at all times.

Patients scheduled for an outpatient procedure may have one visitor/support person, 18 years of age or older, accompany them to their appointment and must remain in the designated waiting area until the patient is discharged. Visitors must wear a face covering at all times.

Infusion Centers and Radiation Oncology

Visitation for adult patients is not currently permitted unless medically necessary for the care of the patient or for the following special circumstances:

  • Patients may receive religious services from clergy of their choice, at any reasonable time, if it can be provided without disruption of care.
  • Patients with disabilities may have two designated support persons or guardians.
  • Visitors will be required to wear a face covering that covers their nose and mouth at all times.
