The Ohio Department of Health Ohio Syphilis Info is a free consultative service that provides practicing clinicians in the state of Ohio with prompt, expert consultation on clinical questions about syphilis in people who are pregnant, breast-feeding, or of pregnancy potential. The ODH Ohio Syphilis Info will be staffed by experienced Physicians and Midlevel’s who will work with Licensed Healthcare Professionals in the state of Ohio to ensure optimal health outcomes for people with syphilis. All services provided by the warmline will be cost-free and confidential and will serve to support clinicians as they provide services to these consumers. The Ohio Syphilis Info will provide evidence-informed guidance and education to clinicians using references such as the National STD Curriculum and the CDC. These consultations are provided without benefit of a direct patient evaluation or examination based on information provided by the clinician and therefore do not constitute medical advice and do not to serve as a substitute for medical judgment.
