Renée’s Survivor Shop at the Eleanor N. Dana Cancer Center
Renée’s Survivor Shop is a positive and encouraging environment for those being treated for cancer. The shop offers comforting and caring professionals to help those who are currently in treatment or have survived cancer. We serve patients in communities throughout northwest Ohio and southeast Michigan. We accept most insurance plans.

Mastectomy Products
At Renée’s Survivor Shop, we have an on-site certified fitter to help you find the right products at every step of the post-surgical process. Designed for easy dressing, our post-surgical camisoles accommodate after-surgery breast forms along with pouches to contain any drainage tubes. Also available is a radiation bra with no inside seams. We have non-silicone and silicone breast prostheses and mastectomy bras. We also have partial prostheses to help balance the breasts after a lumpectomy. Our bras and breast forms come in a variety of colors and styles to suit your needs.
Chemotherapy and Radiation Related Items
We carry many products to help manage the side effects of chemotherapy and radiation, including care items to help with nausea, skin and scalp irritation, metallic taste, and brittle and discolored nails. For radiation, we carry non-metallic deodorant, skin cooler rolls and radiation products that are recommended by our radiation oncologists. If you are experiencing any of these side effects, please come in and talk with us — we may have just the product to make you feel more comfortable.
Wigs and Head Coverings
Hair loss can be one of the most difficult parts of cancer treatment. Here at Renée’s Survivor Shop, we help by offering a variety of wigs, scarves, caps, hats and hair pieces. We carry natural-looking wigs in modern styles, current trends, a variety of lengths and many colors. In addition to our women’s wigs, we also have head coverings for men and children. We also carry sleep caps that protect the scalp from possible nighttime irritation.
Cancer Awareness Items
At Renée’s Survivor Shop, we sell pins, rubber wristbands, magnets, mugs, jewelry and other gift items to promote awareness of all types of cancer.
Lymphedema Related Products
Lymphedema is swelling of the tissue caused by damage, trauma or removal of lymph nodes. At Renée’s Survivor Shop, we carry lymphedema sleeves that are ready-to-wear or custom-made. Additionally, we sell lymphedema alert bracelets that have customized tags and interchangeable bands.

About Renée
Renée Schick, previous owner of Renee’s Survivor Shop, has served cancer survivors in the community since 2003. Diagnosed with cancer at the age of 36, she had difficulty finding the cancer-related products she needed to help with the side effects from her surgeries, chemotherapy and radiation throughout her treatment.
After defeating the disease, Renée wanted to make a difference and use her experience to help others facing a similar situation. She sought to create a store with a positive, encouraging environment.
The new Renée’s Survivor Shop is located at the Eleanor N. Dana Cancer Center on The University of Toledo's Health Science Campus. Here you will find Renée and her staff of caring and knowledgeable professionals to help you with your needs.
