Visitor Information
Driving Directions, Visiting Hours, Valet Parking, and Overnight Lodging are listed below: Directions and Maps Directions, maps, and hospital floor maps are available. Visiting Hours Visitors are welcome from 11am to 8:30 pm with exceptions noted below. We encourage you to limit visitors to two per patient at one time.
Children ages 1-12 may visit parents or grandparents for 30 minutes, except in Psychiatric and Intensive Care Units. Children under one year may visit only with special permission from a nursing director or attending physician.
All children should be free of signs and symptoms of contagious disease and must be under the supervision of an adult at all times when visiting all hospital areas, including clinics and surgery waiting rooms.
All Intensive Care Unit: Immediate family only, 24 hours a day – check with ICU desk for admittance
Child Psychiatric Units – Kobacker Center: Limited hours with advance permission of the attending physician.
Visiting After Hours Family members may wish to stay near loved ones when they are seriously ill. Visitors are asked to avoid talking loudly or creating noise which might disturb other patients, and are prohibited from ordering food in after 8:00pm.
Overnight visitors in semi-private rooms are generally not permitted. Sleeping facilities for visitors are not available within the hospital.
One family member of Intensive Care Unit (ICU) patients may spend the night at the bedside.
Complimentary Valet Parking Services Valet parking, located at the hospital main entrance, Emergency Department entrance, Ortho Center entrance and outpatient surgery center entrance, is available from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday at no charge.
Self Parking There is guest parking in Lot #40, located in front of the Mulford Library Building. Patient parking is available in Lot #41 located near the Heart and Vascular and Emergency entrance at the hospital. Special areas are marked for employees, visitors, handicapped vehicles or for emergency use. These restrictions have been made for the safety of all. Parking in restricted areas may result in a ticket and fine.
The Hotel at The University of Toledo Medical Center offers overnight lodging and makes it easy for you, your family or friends to be close during a hospital stay. Families of patients are entitled to discounted room rates. Dial 419.381.6800, Ext. 722 for more information and to obtain special rates.
The Hotel at The University of Toledo courtesy van is available to transport you to and from the hospitals or clinics. A tunnel system connects all the buildings on campus. Courtesy telephones are located in the hotel lobby and connect directly with University of Toledo Medical Center. Handicapped-equipped rooms are accessible and children stay free at The Hotel at The University of Toledo. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are available in the hotel’s restaurant and guests may use the University of Toledo Medical Center’s Henry L. Morse Center, which includes a running track and exercise equipment.
