Breast Cancer Research Studies

Study Title: Breast Cancer-Adjuvant Doxorubicin, Cyclophosphamide, and Paclitaxel in Treating Patients With Breast Cancer

Study Purpose: This randomized phase III trial is comparing 4 different regimens of combination chemotherapy to see how well they work in treating patients who have undergone surgery for stage I, stage II, or stage III breast cancer. If you are 18 years of age or older and have stage I, II or III invasive breast cancer, you may be eligible for this study.

Principal Investigator: Iman Mohamed, M.D.

Study Coordinator: Carol Fairchild, for more information, please contact 419.383.6962.

Study Title: Breast Cancer-Radiation Therapy in Treating Women Who Have Undergone Surgery For Ductal Carcinoma In Situ or Stage I or Stage II Breast Cancer

Study Purpose: This randomized phase III trial is studying whole breast radiation therapy to see how well it works compared to partial breast radiation therapy in treating women who have undergone surgery for ductal carcinoma in situ or stage I or stage II breast cancer. Radiation therapy uses high-energy x-rays to destroy tumor cells. Giving radiation therapy in different ways may destroy any tumor cells that remain after surgery. If you are female, 18 years of age or older, and have ductal carcinoma in situ or invasive adenocarcinoma of the breast, you may be eligible for this study.

Study Title: A Phase III, Randomized, Double-Blind, Placebo-Controlled, Multicenter Study To Evaluate the Efficacy and Safety Of Bevacizumab, and Associated Biomarkers, In Combination With Paclitaxel Compared With Paclitaxel Plus Placebo as First-line Treatment Of Patients With Her2-Negative Metastatic Breast Cancer.

Study Purpose: This is a Phase III, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled multicenter study to evaluate the efficacy and safety of bevacizumab administered in combination with paclitaxel.
