High School Shadowing Program

The University of Toledo Junior Rocket Shadowing Program is an opportunity for students to obtain career development guidance from a successful health-care professional. Students can pick an area of interest through a selection of opportunities listed below. Each student will then arrange an informational interview with his/her department of choice to decide eligibility and establish a mentor.

Steps to Applying:

  • Fill out a High School Shadowing Program Form
  • After the student has secured a departmental mentor, he/she should work through his/her guidance counselor or principal to contact Volunteer Services to schedule an orientation date.
  • Once the student has completed orientation, the student and his/her mentor will determine future mentoring activities, such as shadowing timeframe during the semester or over breaks.
