Trauma Team UT has Fellowship trained Trauma Surgeons who have board certification in Surgical Critical Care on their staff, as well as physicians specializing in surgical areas of cardiac, orthopaedic, oral, urology, hand, spine, chest, neurosurgery and plastics. Experts in emergency medicine, anesthesia, psychiatry, radiology, and rehabilitation complete the trauma team.
Complete Range of Care The UT Medical Center Rehabilitation allows trauma patients to receive the best in continuity of care from the time they arrive in the emergency department to the day of discharge. The UT Medical Center Rehab Hospital has received special accreditation for expertise in head injury, spinal cord injury and general rehabilitation.
Trauma services utilizes the services of The Critical Care Air Transport Network which consists of four LifeFlight helicopters and ten mobile intensive care units (MICU's). All of the helicopters and MICU's are equipped and staffed to care for both adult and pediatric patients. LifeFlight ensures that your emergent Trauma care needs are met at UTMC’s Level I Trauma Center rapidly.
