Kidney Transplant Statistics

The University of Toledo Medical Center Kidney Transplant Program reached a medical milestone in 2014, when the 2000th kidney transplant was performed. Surgical skills, anti-rejection drugs and improved patient-donor matching have allowed long-term success rates at The UT Medical Center. UTMC is known for the shortest wait list time in the area at an average of 19 months, as opposed to the average of 43 months in the region. UTMC is also a member of the United Network for Organ Sharing's Paired Donation Program and a member of the Alliance for Paired Donation. Additional information about transplant program outcomes is available to the public at www.ustransplant.org  The following is a chart of the last five years in terms of 1-year survival rates for kidney transplants, as reported by the Scientific Registry of Transplant Recipients.
