For over 35 years, the Department of Psychiatry has been providing for the mental health care needs of the Toledo community and of greater Northwest Ohio.  The department provides inpatient services to children, adolescents and the elderly, offering multidisciplinary evaluation and treatment of acute emotional and behavioral problems.  The department also serves individuals of all ages through the outpatient clinics.  A variety of insurance plans are accepted and the clinics are certified by the Ohio Department of Mental Health as a community mental health agency.  Outpatient services include diagnostic assessment, individual, marital and family therapy and pharmacological management.
