The Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention Program assesses children suspected of having been abused or neglected. The team includes a physician and social worker. The team receives referrals from child protection or law enforcement angencies to evaluate cases of suspected sexual or physical abuse, shaken baby syndrome, or Munchausen Syndrome by proxy.
