About Our Division Chief
Dr.William G. Martin, M.D., F.AC.SSection Chief, Division of Ophthalmology, The University of Toledo School of Medicine
Dr. Martin, a specialist in cataract and laser vision correction, has been on the forefront of major advances in the area of vision correction over the past 25 years.
Prior to this position, he was the Director of the Cleveland Eye Clinic for four years. He performed his internship at Maryland General Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland, and his residency at Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Dr. Martin attended Medical School at the University of Maryland in Baltimore.
Dr. Martin is a member of numerous professional organizations, including the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American College of Eye Surgeons, the American Medical Association, the American Intraocular Lens Implant Society, the American College of Surgeons, the Ohio Ophthalmologic Society and the Toledo Academy of Medicine. He holds licenses in Ohio, Michigan, South Carolina and Pennsylvania.He continues his legacy through the teaching and educational support he offers students studying surgery and ophthalmology at The University Of Toledo College of Medicine.
