Pediatric Ophthalmology Service

Pediatric ophthalmology is a very broad field, encompassing not only eye glasses and conventional "crossed eyes" but also many other conditions.  Vision Associates offers the area's only comprehensive care for all aspects of pediatric eye care.  Conventional services include:

• Routine exams, glasses and contact lenses
• Amblyopia
• Esotropia and Exotropia (Crossed eyes)

More specialized services include:

• Vertical strabismus
• Incommitant (irregular) strabismus
• Diagnosis and management of congenital syndromes
• Juvenile cataracts and glaucoma
• Pediatric retinal care
• Retinopathy of Prematurity
• Pediatric trauma care

Vision Associates doctors are the area's exclusive providers for many of these conditions. Dr. Michelle Ariss is Vision Associates' pediatric ophthalmologist.  Along with the other specialists at Vision Associates, she offers this s range of pediatric services.  We also coordinate care with pediatric neurologists, pediatricians, primary eye care providers and other specialists.
