Cardiac Arrhythmia Center

The Cardiac Arrhythmia Center at the UT Heart and Vascular Center offers diagnosis, management and treatment for multiple arrhythmia problems such as supraventricular tachycardia (SVT), ventricular tachycardia (VT), premature ventricular contractions (PVC) and atrial fibrillation. The complex arrhythmias can cause palpitations, shortness of breath, chest pain, and fatigue. Our experienced electrophysiology team is committed to the diagnosis and treatment of these arrhythmias so patients can return to a normal, active lifestyle as soon as possible.

Our electrophysiology laboratory is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities that include a 3-D mapping system, cryotherapy (cold), and a laser lead extraction system.   

The University of Toledo Medical Center has been a pioneer in northwest Ohio, performing the A-fib ablation procedure since 2005. At the Center for Atrial Fibrillation, we have established a comprehensive program to care for A-fib patients and offer highly modern and sophisticated treatment options including ablation or the surgical mini-Maze procedure.
