Services Provided
The Complementary Medicine Center does not substitute alternative therapies in place of well-established medical and psychiatric care. Instead, the center offers a variety of treatments that complement existing health care or services that enable improvement of physical and mental well being. 
The types of services offered at the Complementary Medicine Center include mind-body therapies such as:
- Relaxation and Biofeedback
- Restricted Environmental Stimulation Therapy (REST)
- Hypnosis
- Herbal counseling
- Massage
- Reiki
- Acupuncture
When individuals choose to explore complementary medicine treatments, their health status must carefully be reviewed to identify effective options that will not counter or hamper their outcome when combined with current treatment. Initial appointments at the Complementary Medicine Center include a medical history review.
Most insurance companies in this area do not cover complementary therapies, so the center does not bill insurance companies for services. Payment is expected at the time of service. We gladly provide receipts and descriptions of services if you wish to pursue insurance reimbursement on your own.
