Cardiovascular Medicine
The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine at The
University of Toledo Medical Center provides complete
consultative services in cardiac and peripheral vascular medicine.
The non-invasive laboratories of the University of
Toledo Medical Center include facilities and equipment to
perform rest, stress and Dipyridamole thallium scintigraphy, SPECT
scintigraphy and multigated radionuclide angiography with
computer-assisted quantitative analysis.
The University of Toledo Medical Center laboratory also does transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiography and Doppler echocardiography, electrocardiography, and quantitative Holter monitoring. The Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory offers complete services in cardiac and peripheral vascular catheterization including angioplasty, stents and other interventional techniques. The Electrophysiology Laboratory offers complete invasive and non-invasive evaluation and treatment including radiofrequency ablation, autonomic insufficiency testing (tilt-table testing), and automatic implantable cardioverter defibrillator (AICD) implantation and management.
