Cardiovascular Rehabilitation

Education, Counseling and Monitoring

All patients undergo a pre-rehabilitation physical examination by one of our cardiovascular medicine physicians. Our knowledgeable nursing staff review medications with the patients, educate patients on their cardiac pathophysiology, monitor their blood pressure, pulse rate, heart rhythm and blood glucose levels during their cardiac therapy sessions. Patients are trained to recognize activity-limiting symptoms of angina and dyspnea and are instructed on how to properly manage these symptoms. Health-related problems noted during cardiac therapy sessions are promptly reported to the patient's primary care physician, which ensures the added benefit of close medical follow-up.
