Clinical Trials & Experimental Therapies
The Cancer Center emphasizes clinical trials for cancer patients who are not eligible for, or who become resistant to, standard therapy for their cancer. Trials employ the use of novel biologic agents, newly-developed cytotoxic drugs, and supportive therapies to improve outcomes and enhance the quality of life for our patients.

The Cancer Center collaborates with Jacobson Center for Clinical & Translational Research (CCTR) to evaluate and enroll patients in clinical trials.
One of the unique opportunities in Northwest Ohio is that basic laboratory research in cancer is conducted by faculty in the basic science departments at UT, with interaction of clinical faculty and staff within the departments of medicine, surgery and radiation oncology.
