The institute emphasizes novel clinical trials for cancer patients who are not eligible for, or who become resistant to, standard therapy for their cancer. Trials employing biologic agents, newly-developed cytotoxic drugs, and cancer vaccines are targeted in this program.
For information about the clinical trials available for specific kinds of cancer, please contact the Cancer Center by email at cancer@utoledo.edu or by phone at (419) 383-6583.
Basic laboratory research in cancer is conducted in the multidisciplinary Cancer Center. The faculty of the center represent several basic science departments at UT and interact with clinical faculty and staff within the departments of medicine, surgery and radiation oncology.
