Mission
The mission of the UT Cancer Program is:
- To foster an interdisciplinary, interdepartmental approach to cancer research, cancer education and cancer patient care at The University of Toledo.
- To provide for the patients seen at UT, levels of clinical assessment, treatment and support ranging from state of the art to investigative.
- To create new knowledge and understanding of malignant disease at the molecular, cellular and physiologic levels. To provide for the students at UT the opportunity to master the basic and clinical sciences of oncology and to participate in its investigation.
- To serve as an information resource for patients and their families, health-care professionals and the public.
- To engage individuals, corporations and agencies, in both the public and the private sector, at local, regional and national levels in this mission.
